Steve Judson Bio

Steve Judson started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Under Megaton Diaz in 1995.
During that time Steve had competed in several BJJ tournaments and Judo
Tournaments earning the rank of Purple Belt. By 1998 Steve followed some friends
into the MMA world and after giving MMA a try Steve soon realized that he needed
to better himself at what he enjoyed the most and that was Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

While in Brazil to train and compete in the Mundial’s III, Steve had the chance to
be introduced to Gustavo Dantas, and watch Gustavo compete in the Mundial’s. By
2000 when Steve was done with the MMA and wanting to keep pursuing his training
in BJJ Steve found out that Gustavo had come to America and was opening a school
in Tempe Az next to where Steve worked. Steve started his training again under
Gustavo Dantas as a purple belt. Steve had been training under Gustavo Dantas
since 2000 and was one of Gustavo’s first to be promoted to the rank of Black Belt
in 2008. In 2010 Steve felt it was his time to give back to the Jiu-Jitsu community
and start teaching. With the blessing of Gustavo Steve has opened up a GD Jiu-Jitsu
school in Prescott Az. Teaching the Art and Sport of BJJ under the watchful eye of
Gustavo Dantas.
